SNOWY - NOT THE TINTIN SORT

Brrrrrrrrr. Chilly this side of the big pee everybloggie. You wrapped up warm? Cos I've got snow. A lot of it. Was a bit shocked when it sneaked in overnight. No leggeds could get to work or school. No trains running. Or buses. Or Tubes. Nine inches of snow in my garden!!! Worst in London for 18 years!! I'd never seen the like. Snow all flurrying down outside my window sentry box. Didn't know what the heck it was. Frankly. I was frightened. Barked at it like crazy. Shoo Shoo Shooooo. Didn't. Strange that. Wasn't frightened of me at all.

Aww. Take a peep at poor me in my very first encounter with the fluffy stuff. I sat down to meditate. Ponder it's downright disobedience. Then decided to consult with playmates in my park. How to get that snow to go? (Mom took photos for her delight along the way to the park.)

Cast your mince pies over Simba's Royal Mail Post Box. Wagging worrying. Will Postie be able to collect my Valentine card???

Left plenty of messages along the way on the snowy old balls. Giving it the boot. Tried eating it away too. But dog-a-blogging. Way too much even for a treat deprived wirey. Finally met up with my handsome chum Scooby in the park. Odd. Very odd. His snow doesn't look as deep as mine does it???

After an in depth and meaningful discussion of at least 3 loooooong seconds we concluded the best way to frighten off this snowy stuff. Chase it away.

We got straight to it. Kicking it all over. Boy that snow was persistent. Wouldn't budge.

Even got bold and attached itself all over my hirsute wiry torso. Headed off home to plot and plan. On my afternoon walkies I posed my problem to good buddy JR.( Have you met JR before? I met him on my first ever walk when I was a puppy boy. Been inseparable ever since. Meet up most days for mischief. And sometimes a spot of mayhem too.)

Look at the cool dude. Deep in whiteness up to his legpits. And still posing. Came up with several options. First up. Sat on it to squish and squash it into submission. No way Jose was that snow going down. Onto the next idea ...

we raced that snow away. Barking in unison from our barkboxes. Know what? Totally ignored us.

Now that really made us crazy. We took it in turns to tower over that snow...

putting the big frighteners on it. Was it? Noooooo.

Last idea. Tried laughing that snow straight out of town. Hmm. Must of lost my touch. Those fluttery flakes are still hanging around.

Eric...what in the world is that GIANT SNOWBALL???

We've seen snow since we were pups but NO SNOWBALLS like that...they must grow balls a lot bigger over in jolly old England...um...that didn't 'xactly come out right...sorry, old chap.

You look just like me with your snow magnet ability...the snow sticks to me twice as much as to Lac or Stan...must be my special wiry force coat...

Wonder why it doesn't stick to the short haired dogs??

Whoa Eric! First those gigantic Wimbledon tennis balls now Snowballs the size of Mini-Coopers! What is it with balls over in Old Blighty? I love it!

I am so jealous! Boy, what I wouldn't give for a romp in that snow with you and your pals. Unfortunately, Mommy always puts on my sweater with sleeves (!) so I won't get those magnetic snowballs attached to me. Once she carried me in and deposited me into the bathtub directly so she could soak those icy snowballs off.

It was worth it!

I miss you, my square pal! But looks like your snow mask is making you as handsome as can be.

Your pal,

Petey

Hey, ERic.

You, my man, are getting schooled in the ways of the snowdogs! Looks to me like you had yourself a blast trying to master the white fluffy stuff, but then just went all zen and decided to go with it! Good choice!

Is that the same giant snowball that Simba found too? WHOA! You all grow some very large balls in London!

Enjoy the snow! We've got stinkin' 70 degree weather in GooberStan today. I'm missing my snow!

Goober love,
Stanley

Eric,

We heard about the snow storm that stopped London. Hmm... I thought for sure Asta would have given you a sweater to wear in the snow. We love that you have a light hearted approach to the white stuff. What great fun with your friends.

Eric my lad,

Toffee's birthday is February 17. So maybe you can combine Valentine's Day and her birthday? Maybe you can meet in the middle -- Bermuda perhaps? It has that old English charm yet it's just 2 hours from Boston. Strolling the pink sand beaches, going for romantic moonlit moped rides, yummy rum cocktails overlooking the reef. What do you think? Plus I just know you'd look swell in shorts!

Your pal,

Petey

Eric, You are too funny. You need to learn to relish the snow. Not like in a pickely kind of way, but more like in a rolling polly kind of way. You need to get down into that white stuff and roll! Dude, it's the only way to deal with it. Love it up!

BTW, you look adorable with those snowballs all over you. I may have to make you one of my boyfriends, but best not tell Joey.

P.S. I hope your the Sophie dog whose moving in down the street is fun to play with.

Wow, you've got tons and tons of snow! Most of my snow is melted now. We only have piles of old snow from December left.

You look like you're having tons of fun playing in the snow with your friends! I wish I could join you!

Thanks so much for dropping by my blog man, I missed ya! It's grrrrEAT to be back!

is your snow melting away yet? it is here in Massachusetts - now I'm a mud ball like Archie & Agatha.

Thanks for coming on my walk. I don't know if I can give you a treat yet. But your a good trainer.

Wowser -- we're kind of jelly that you actually got to see and romp and play with the snow. Even though we froze our gedoozles in St. Loulis, we never did get to explore the flakes (unless you think of our leggedee ones as flakes, which we dare not do).

Hope your itchies remain under control and that you stay slim. We think it's for the best, even though JH is now one of the substantial ones.

Lots of wirey woofs, pal,

Jake and Just Harry
