ALL THE P'S. PAW POWER & PICKING

Hey ho bloggies. Been doing a lot of this for the past few days. Xpect you have too.

Putting paws together. To get our Paw Power working for Scruffy, Lacie and Stan's poorly Dadsie. Yay! It's working!! He's getting better!! Isn't that wagging? Paws crossed he'll be fit and back home with Mumsie and them Holy Terriers sooner than soon.

Squares are planning a little treat for Flat Lacie and her BFF Flat Asta. A well deserved holiday once they've finished their next nursing shift!!! My Shrinking Self will be tagging along too. So 'xcuse me if I'm not around for a week or so to comment.

But before I scoot. Remember I went with the Squares to inspect the blossom on our Rent a Cherry Tree? That clever blossom turned itself into copious amounts of cherries!!! Want a looksee?

Cherries ripe. Ready for plucking.

Hanging from the branches like big old bunches of grapes.

I kept look out. While the Squares. Picked. And picked. And picked. Then picked some more.

Did quality control inspections. Sniffed perfect. Did tasting too when the Squares weren't looking. Mmmm. Tasty. Something bout stolen fruit being doubly dogalicious . . .

Back at Square Dog house watched them cherries getting stoned out of their minds. Made into jams. Preserved and popped into a kirsch or chocolate syrup. Adding flavour to vodka. Watched big bulging bagfuls being crammed into our freezer. Sheese. I'd show you the fruit of our labours but stupid Blogger doesn't want to load any more pics of cherries. Bit like Mom. Who never wants to see another cherry. Ever. After picking and cooking 55lbs of them from our one tree!!! Silly Square. Can't think why. Only looked like a little snackette to me.

I think those cherries look delicious! Mom says she knows just how your mom feels, though. She grew up with a cherry tree in the yard and her dad made them pick every stinking one of them! I rather fancy a slice of cherry pie now!

That pinkie of ours LOVES cherries. About as much as us, she says. Phew...
Rent-A-Cherry-Tree sounds like a fabbers idea to her since we got none in the backyard. She says, she can "come and look after" the tree for while your squares are gone. What do you want us to tell her?? Personally, we wouldn't trust her with cherries around but we'll leave it up to you.

That's a lot of power in your paws, Eric! Glad to hear Scruffy's dad is getting better.

The cherries look really yummy! That sure is a lot from one tree!

Beautifully placed paws, Uncle Eric, and it seems that they have had a good effect.
Are cherries yummy? I haven't been given any yet, but I do like apple cores, unlike Hamish, who apparently disdained all fruit and vegetables.

Oh my...now Eric...I am assuming you have some way to make those into cherry cordials for Miss Enid...??? Are they sweet cherries? I mean when I pop over and snatch some of those for my blender do I need to add sugar?

And did you really say they were gettin' stoned outta their minds? Hmm...I thought you said that.

Do you have one of those old fashioned cherry stoners? Oh my...Mumsie woulda eaten 50 lbs of em...I assume you ate the pits?

Thank you and your Peeps for the well wishes, dear boy...Daddy is a walking miracle...between Paw Power, the Dogstar and all the good wishes, amazing things have happened...we are so grateful!

I can't wait to see where you're taking us on vacation!!! Now, Eric, there's no chance that Toffee's going to be poppin' in, is there??? I'm just wondering....

XXOOXXOO

Lacie with vanilla ice cream with cherries on top!!!

Yowsa! Momma is feeling very happy that our cherry trees do not make that much fruit or we would be in cherry hell for sure. We do have way more plums than any normal human can eat in a year. Sigh. We just let the birdies have at them.

Slobbers,
Mango

Wow Eric you sure got alot of cherrys off one tree. You said you kept a look out does that meen they were picking from more than one tree! so the bit about stolen fruit being doubly dogalicious was not just you doing a taste test!
and what's this "My Shrinking Self" you don't look fat.
Have a Great Holiday and look forward to what you get your paws into.

We have certainly had paws crossed here. I don't bother to tell Tanner he can uncross them to walk because that takes away a lot of my entertainment.

Oh Eric! I kept waiting for the photo of you covered in red cherry juice, then washed off to a beguiling shade of pink. Not to mention what those cherries could do to your poopies. I fully expected to hear you were in the naughty corner, like our George Washington who could not tell a lie when it came to misbehavior with a cherry tree. Obviously, you over-fertilized that tree!

Your pal,

Petey
