THE END OF THE TALE

Hey everybloggie! Remember I dipped my boatrace in that mud and ash puddle the other day? Gave myself a Mash spa?

Couple of minutes later I did something.Else. HAAAAAA!!!Very. Very. Naughty. Apres Spa. The leggeds had snapped me back on my lead sharpish. Seen a family picnic taking place up ahead. Anyways. Opposite the picnic bench there's a large pond. I ignored them leggeds munching on lunch.Totally. Pulled Daddy Square to the pond. Don't do water. Ever. But that Mash was dripping down, time for a wash and brush up. Some safe minutes later, the squares let off my lead. Heheee!!! Know what's coming don't you? Yep. Did my Eric Dash Back. Sorry. Don't have a photo. But believe me. I was off like a rocket. Like this. . .

When I was playing in the bluebell woods this week. (Only gave myself a Mash pawdicure that day.)

OOOOOOO. You've got to take a looksee.

Be better if you bigify this one. Blue as far as your peepers go. Though the bluebells weren't quite full on ding-a-linging. Almost though. I'll show you when they are. Pretty eh?

Where was I? Oh yeah. Running. With Squares in hot pursuit. Saw me put paws up on the bench by the little legged. Do my WET ERIC GRAB N DASH.... HAAAAAAA!!!!! Bloggies. A point to ponder on. Isn't it amazing how my four little leggeds can out run two pairs of much longer leggeds? Daddy Square arrived to watch me gulp down the last morsel of a whole tuna sandwich wrapped in kitchen paper. Ate that and all. Tasty. Mom grovelled apologies to picnic Mom and son. Daddy Square even took me back (shucks -on my lead) to apologise. Course. I didn't. Told 'em to add some mayo to their tuna sandwiches next time. Couple of slices of cucumber too. I like 'em better that way.

Oh Eric, Life with four-leggeds is a roller coaster for sure. One minute we can't see for the tears learning that Digby has had a relapse... and the next, you, our boyz' square-dog pal, is telling the folks whose tuna sandwch he scarfed that they should put on more mayo next time... and tears turn to chuckles then back to tears.

What you guys do to us.

I like the kitchen paper too, Eric! It's most tasty lathered tuna or whatever!
The field of bluebells is just stunning!
The barn project is called Crump's because it's Charlie Crump's barn and property! Charlie is 90 years old and he still works! He's an amazing man!

Love ya lots,

Um...what DID Miss Enid say? A direct quote please?

Lacie is sitting here by the way with a lace hankie held delicately over her mouth...I can't tell if she's laughing behind it or not...but her little squinty eyes are crinkling...or is that just the beginnin' of old Lacie wrinkles?

YOU ACTUALLY TOLD THE KID HE SHOULDA PUT MAYO ON IT???

Scruffy and Stan collaspe again...and well um then have some massive intestinal upset of the not so silent type....

We fear this comment needs to end quickly...

Go get 'em Eric! Great way to score a sandwich and provide yourself with amusements. Was your beardie still all muddy at the time of the event? That would have been the best. Guess your two leggers will need to work on their wind sprints.

Well done, Bestie! Seems that Mash mask seems to make your paws extra-slick and speedy. May need a whole body mask--just think how fast you'd be then! I won't turn my nose up at tuna, but it's more Mica's cup of tea. Next time, sniff out some roast beef! Bertie has so much to learn from your wiry ways...

Your pal,
Petey
