CONSEQUENCES

Barkin' mad everybloggie. Know what? Seems I've been playin' some game without knowing. Called Consequences??? Heard of it? Me neither. Apparently due to my ventures....

In the Rugby fields the other week. Remember? Landed me here.

In the penalty corner. With the red flag flying it's warning. What did I know? Seems that's not the end of my Miss de Meanour. Nope. Mom did sums.

Eric + Rugby Field + Bone =

Nooooo!!!!!!. (Everybloggie!!! No worries for you over the big pee. As far I understand it's in localised areas only this side of the pond - see below image) But where were we? Oh yeah. Me. Squares nodding over their new sum. Eric + Rugby Field + Bone + Peace of mind + £15 well spent =

UH OH. NO. A Lungworm Test. Case one those nasty slimies slippered over my scrumptious bone. Big the images to read about horrid Lungworm. Pawfect reading if you've had dinner. Might get yourself one of my promotions.Heheee!!! "Eat One. Barf One for Free". (UK pals. Pee mail me if you want to know bout where leggededs got the test kit)

Lungworm (called somethin' else other side of my big pee) is a new problem. Few weeks ago,an outbreak in Square Town area was highlighted in my local newspaper. Then a pal wagged over to my vets. His leggededs told to be AWARE. The vet had 3 doggie patients that week go over the bridge from it. Toooooo sad. Poor doggies. It can be difficult to spot. And nope, usual wormers or Frontline doesn't protect. But early diagnosis with monthly spot on treatment will give the best chance of recovery.

Shucks. Could get it by eating them slimie suckers. Or from that stuff they leave behind when they slide over....EEEEEwwwww. YUCK. Get from Foxies. Lots of 'em skulk in my garden and parks. Might get it drinking water from a pond. Or an outside water bowl. Through toys or treats left in the garden. Even from a froggy.

Gulp. Can't mean this one. Lookie. I'm loved up with froggy from sweetie Toffee. Now Daddy Square's threatening. "Eric Boy! A Warning. Fun and games = Consequences" Boooooooring. Sat up when he started doin' them sums though.

Eric - no lead + scavenging + ignoring leave it/drop it/no commands = MUZZLE

Eric - no lead + obedient = Safer

Eric + on lead - freedom = Safer

AWWWww noooooooo!!! A MUZZLE!!!! Wouldn't. Would they??? OK. I can do sums too.

Eric - lead + ear cocked + obeying commands = Good Boy = Extra Treats!!!!

Eric + Lead - unsuspected scavenging lunges = Good Boy = Extra Treats!!!!

Eric + lead/no lead + MUZZLE = Bad Boy = They'll be sorry..............

Consequences right now are. Waiting for test results but not too worried. Mom overusing the "leave it's". Way too many walks on my lead. Me trying to be good. Amazing. I even allowed Mom to recycle this photo for everybloggies amusement.

To wish all Doggies. Kitties. Hammies. A Hoppy Easter from this Easter Bunny.

Happy Easter to you too, Eric!

All that math and calculatin' has my head spinning. Big time. Nope, the lungworm didn't faze me as much as trying to add up all those sums. Gotta get me a pencil and paper. Doodle a little. Square Dogs running around the borders of the page dragging their leashes...hee hee!

Happy Tails,

Poor Eric! You need to move over here with me. We'll get our own bachelor pad and you'll be just a train ride away from Toffee. How come I live fairly close to your girlfriend and you live fairly close to mine? Maybe we should all four move to the Azores.

Lungworm sounds like no fun. Thankfully the only foxes we have around here are the "foxy lady" variety, although Mommy will vouch that there are plenty of slugs (and she ain't kissing any more frogs!)

Behave yourself and start getting your papers in order to move over the big pee!

Your bestest pal,

Petey

Hi Eric
Well we guess we better say thanks for that information although our mum has just had her breakfast!
We will read more about it when the sun is not shining onto the laptop making it very difficult to read your post at the moment!
We did so like your Easter picture - we could see that without any problems.
We are now wondering about getting pet passports and taking off on a world tour if this threat is only in the UK!
Have a great Easter
love
Martha & Bailey xx

Good luck with your tests Eric...these human friends of ours are just too worried about us aren't they...always hauling us off to the vet to make sure we don't get sick. Can't they just let boys be boys? I guess not, but I guess that's good too cuz we know that they really love us:)

Eric + String + walkies= no nasty worms= dates w/toffee

It's all good... I wonder though.. if you could just catch a ride on a wheelie.. could you run wheelie ride thru the rugby fields- wheelies don't catch worms!
Tell mom to wrangle one down!

Oh... do tell.. where did you find that divine easter bonnet. better idea... where that-sneak out and hop thru the fields - does mom wrangle easter bunnies too?

Geesh Eric, maybe you better just go along with it so you don't get any lung yuckies. I'm wondering if it's the same thing as Heart Worm that dogs get over here... there's a prevention pill for that - tell Squaremom to check it out. Good luck with your test, buddy.

Hoppy Easter to you Eric, you look really hoppy with that bunny hat on, wait, do I see a pink hat, hehe.
What are you talking about, the whole thing look like algebra equation to me but as long as I see treats, extra treats, then I'll be less confused!
Eric - lead + ear cocked + obeying commands = Good Boy = Extra Treats!!!!
Mango + hourly treats + royal mail = heaven on earth!
I'll post the Royal mail Sunday, love ya lots

hi Eric, that lungworm thing sounds really creepy and maybe even easy to get. is there any prevention you can do? other than the muzzle? that is horrid - dog abuse in the 1st degree. just do your leave its like your leggeds tell you and you'll be good. we don't want you to get that terrible lungthing. be careful, okay?

woofs.

EEEEEWWWWWWWWW!!! Now Square Dog...that's one icky bugaboo we don't need the Royal Mail transportin' over here...yeesch...I'm assumin' that you're gonna only go with grilled bones from now on? Or bones that are still attached to the rugby players leggies???

The peeps sound like they're really crackin' down on ya Eric...R E B E L!!

I mean, the naughty corner? They have ya bamboozled for sure...refuse...don't go in...make their lives miserable...withhold affection...does it every time...yeppers...

Geez Eric....

What a horrific story fer sure.....good thing it's not on this side of the Big Pee.....not that we would ever eat such a slime-ball as that creature ya had a picture of.....nope but the Foxes....why....we're Fox Terriers and that's what we're made fer....chasin' after foxies.....

Although, we must admit, we have never seen a fox around here.....ever....

But if ya have got the Leave-it business down pat I think ya can erase all those other equations and just go with the "Eric good boy not eatin any slimy slitherin' disguistin' stuff= safe 'n sound Eric.....

Yep....works fer us....

Lungworm -- what a horrible name. We hope you don't have any consequences from that bone.

Mom was interested in reading about muzzle consequences. We like to chomp grass. And then we throw it up. Grass = admonition = continued chomping = retch = scolding. But that's conparatively benign.

We also have Bufo toad consequences: Poisonous toad biting = death.

We love you square dog!!! Try a little O BEE DEE ENCE = No muzzle.
