GOOD. BAD. UGLY.

Hello bloggies! Wagging good to see you. But don't look at ME. No really. Don't. Promise me you won't. I'm not handsome anymore ...waaaaaaah!!!!!! I'm Ugly Eric. My paws all pinkie. My beard stained. Skin's all glowing pinkie too. And I've been biting my paws so bad they bledded. Now I've got big ouchies on my paws and a loonie looking lampshade on my square head. And to boot, Mom's been making me wear her socks on my front leggededs when I'm not wearing the loonie lampshade. Oh woe is me......

Hey, I said NO peeking. Gonna turn my head away. I'm a sorry sight.(But at least I was allowed on one of the spare beds, he,heh!!) Proper poorly. I've got the LURGEY. WaaaaaaaaaHHHH. I've had if for a few weeks now. The itchies. And scratchies. Real bad. All over every inch of my square body. We poor Wireys are prone to it. Al Lurgey ees. First time I've had one and won't go away. I went to the vets again yesterday for a check up to see if I was better. But, sob, I'm not. She told Mom I have to stay on medication for another 6 weeks. Then carry on having paw dips in my special shampoo every day and baths with it too. TWICE A WEEK. GULP. NOoooooooooooo. Plus I'm to keep the lampshade or socks on if Mom thinks I need them. Oh woe, what's a dog to do??????

Gets worser. Food. Or lack of it. I always eat a holistic organic food but now I'm only to be chow down one type at every meal for the next 6 weeks to see if it might be a protein that's the problem. That's the first thing to try. Oh and bloggies that's not ALL. No treats. No sneaky snacks. Not even scrunchy munchies from the cat tray. Or his bowl. Our lovely new DogTor, who luckily specialises in skin problems, told us we have a long windy road ahead to get me better. I've been dog-a-blogging-sobbing. Boooooo hooooo. Me and Mom have been making that big pee pond a lot bigger again this week.

But then a wagging thing happened! A parcel turned up from my admirer, the lovely Toffee. Have I told you I'm sort of sweet on her? He,he!

Got the parcel opening down pat now, despite my one sock handicap. Pay attention. Here's my demonstration for you. It's easy peasy, just pull back the tear strip like so.....

.....stick your noddle right inside the envelope or box like this .....

....and extract the goodies inside, hiding them from the nosey camera. It's YOUR parcel after all. If you happen to be wearing a sock, try and shake it of like I did before .....

....you study the gift at your own leisure. WOW! Peel your peepers!! It's a totally WICKED Howl o een Pumpkin Man. Boy oh boy! I've never had a Howl o een toy before. Isn't Toffee the most kindest, most pawfect little pupcake? And um....a b b beauty too.

Look Toffee! I'm dancing a jig of joy for you to thank you for ever for my mostest pawfect present,it's the bestest. And smells all sweet like you ...awww. Now I need to sneak me some snackies before Mom catches me.

Pretty impressive what a doggie can do wearing a pair of socks huh? Tee,hee!!!!!! But I saw Mom eying up some Santa's elves boots in desperation the other day. WTF!!!!(as Tanner would say) She wouldn't. Would she????

If you happen to visit the Nursies can you send them over if they are not too busy? Um and ....pawhaps ask if they can bring Toffee too please? Might wig my wag again. I hope to visit everybloggie soon! I've missed you. Silly old pooter won't let me, keeps crashing but Yappeee!! Our new pooter is being set up next week. Paws crossed.See ya.

Oh my...poor Eric.

Itchy paws are turrible. I've had them twice, once really bad like you do, only not on the rest of me. And my muzzer was nasty. She bought me baby socks at Le Target. Thank dog no pink ones, but bad enough, little white ones with red and blue baseballs!

Now when I even look at my paw cross-eyed, she says..."Gussie..Do you want me to get the socks out again." Man it takes some willpower, but I STOP right then.

I even had plastic bag wellies for when it was damp out. Sheesh.

Anyway, we are so sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly, and do hope it gets some better when the first frost comes.

kisses

Eric, poor square dog pal, we are so upset to hear of your woes. One of our similarly afflicted wirey pals told us about a cortisone spray that calms the itchies -- but we don't remember it's name. Perhaps your dogtor knows.

In the meantime, we're sending you a gazillion tons of wirey love, and hope things won't be as terrible as you think.

Eric, my lad, whether you want to admit it or not...you've got yourself a GIRLFRIEND. And a mighty fine one at that!

"Eric and Toffee, peeing on a tree,
S-N-I-F-F-I-N-G,
first comes love, then comes marriage,
then a whole litter in a baby carriage!"

Hee hee!

Hey, you need to get your 2-leggeds in touch with Asta's bi-peds as she had some of the same problems with her itchy paws (I thought it just meant she wanted to take a vacation!) and she got some medicine and now is just fine.

Now...how will we turn socks and a lampshade into a Howl-o-ween costume in a week?

Your pal,

Petey

P.S. Guess what? I get to meet your in-laws, errr, Toffee's parents in November!

HI Eric,

Sorry to hear about your itchy paws!
I started to have the itchy on my legs, but My Mom caught it before I could do some damage, and she changed my food. She changed it to some dehydrated food. I just have to wait 5-10 min, or til they realized that it was not put down. But anyway, all is right with the world for the time being!

Hi Eric!
Sorry about your itchy footses. My brother and I used to suffer from the same thing but after removing grains, poultry, rabbit and venison from our diet we're not itchy anymore. Even Big Pupi's seasonal allergies have gone! Perhaps you could have issue with grains as well as the protein? An elmination diet really helped our humans figure out what was causing reactions.

In the mean time, keep those toes safe and toasty warm in those socks!

Oh Eric,
I'm so sorry to see that you have to wear a satellite dish or a pair of sock! So sorry for everything you have to endure now: itching, discomfort, etc...
But I'm happy to watch your dance of joy, your nice Halloween gift and most of all, your not so secret admirer Toffee.
Please come visit me to share my happiness, I have to shout out loud my love, I'm deeply in love, buddy!
I'd like you to visit Dino, a friend of mine in Taiwan, the new post was about a poor pug that so touching that my eyes leaked

Oh poor you Eric. I am having to wear socks on my back paws at the moment as well Eric. I keep licking them and the socks get shoved on so I do not make them sore. We cannot seem to find out why I am doing it either!!! I am getting better now though.
Guess we will both be able to creep around The Tower on Halloween and nobody will hear us coming...hee hee.

Oh Eric, I'm so distressed you are suffering from Itchypawitis. I sure hope it gets better very soon. Maybe stay away from those scrunchy munchies in the cat bowl. That'll do it, you know.

Mama puts Benadryl on my itchies... check with your vet and see if it's ok because it really works... try to stay away from swallowing steroids and all those toxic medications --- that's how vets make their money, you know: on medications. Us doggies and catties are way too overmedicated. Did you know that my Mama can buy the same medication my vet prescribes, at the pharmacy for one sixteenth of the cost? It's true. The pharmacist mixes it up in canine proportions and it costs a lot less.

Well, well, does Miss Toffy know you've got a crush on her? Hmmmm?

Get well, buddy and lose those socks.

xoxo
